Dr. Watters began her dental career working as a dental assistant with a focus of becoming a dental hygienist—she worked with a group of periodontists that changed her career focus, after a few short months of assisting, she knew that she needed to become a periodontist to help save teeth.
Dr. Watters continued to work at this job for 10 years while putting herself though college, then obtained her degree in Chemistry from CA State University, Sacramento with honors. Thereafter, she attended University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry graduating with honors in 1991. Directly following her education at UCSF, she completed a Residency in Periodontics from University of Washington in Seattle with training in anesthesia and dental implants. Dr. Watters is a member of OKU, a dental honor society, at UCSF and UW chapters.
Dr. Watters’ focus in life is around enjoying life with her son, a Marine, and college student, living in the beautiful north bay. She also enjoys dancing, hiking, being an active member of her church, she’s a lover of music and culinary experiences and loves being with friends.
Dr. Watters has served as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at both UOP (Arthur Dugoni) School of Dentistry and University of Washington. Besides having memberships in organized dentistry and periodontics, Dr. Watters is a member of American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. She has shares her skills with the underprivileged as well as with disabled children and young adults and truly loves her work and the many patients she has served in 26 years of practice!
